Welcome to Winter League 2010!

On behalf of UPA(S), Shiok is proud to present you Winter League 2010!

What do we have in stored for YOU?
Apprentice's League -- If you would like to widen your social circle, this is just the thing for you! You can be completely new to this sport, or have only played for less than a year. Worried that you might lack the frisbee skills or throws? Fret not! A frisbee clinic will be organised just for you! So sign up now and play with a friend! With the buddy system, we will place you and your friend in the same team so that you can both enjoy the experience together!

Sorcerer's League -- If you have been playing Ultimate for a while, been through leagues and tournaments and want a little more than pick-up competition, this is for you!

Membership required
UPA(S) membership is required to participate in the league.
If you are not a member, a $20 membership fee will be applicable on top of your registration fee.
*For all new signups, your membership will be valid till 31 Dec 2011.

Registration Fee
League registration fee is $25 per player
Fees will be collected by your team captain before your first game at the fields.

League Jerseys
A pair of jerseys - black and white - are available at a subsidized rate of $10 (for a pair)

Captainship
If you wish to volunteer to captain a team (THANKS!), your league fees are waived! We will need captains for the Apprentice's and Sorcerer's League so please state your preference in the registration form, if you wish to do so! In the event that there are insufficient captains for both leagues, priority will go to the Apprentice's League to groom our future players! We will then group the experienced participants into teams and teams will then nominate a captain from within.

Time and Venue
Both leagues will be running concurrently on the Anchorvale Field (where Singapore Opens was held). Both will start at the end of October and end by early December! We are working on the schedule and will provide you with the details once it is confirmed!

Team numbers and format
For the Apprentice's League, we are looking to form 6 teams of 16-18 players. You will look to play at least 1 game per session, game to 13 points or time cap at 60 mins, whichever comes first.

For the Sorcerer's League, we are looking to cap at 10 teams of 18-20 players. Games are to 13 points or time cap at 80 mins, whichever comes first.

REGISTER HERE!
For those with less than one year of playing experience, please register for the Apprentice's League at:

For experienced players, please register for the Sorcerer's League at:
Registration is NOW open and we will close on 13 October Wednesday. Team information will then be released here on this webpage before the league commence.

  4. Yeah the date will be quite a concern for the university students, NUS will be having exams around late nov/early december. NTU around mid/late december if I'm not wrong.

Since it is 2 separate league, you wont be able to buddy someone from the Apprentice league. You can however, join them or to captain a team there. Hope it helps!
