At the moment, registration for the Apprentice League stands at 38 and Socerer League stands at 65! We are calling for more captains to lead a team! League fees will be waived just for your hard work! If you have signed up and will now like to captain, please drop us an email at winterleague2010@gmail.com and we shall update your status!
There are some enquiries about why winter league is starting early and why it is so short. We will like to take this opportunity to clarify that it is because, people are itching for games right after the fantastic Sing Opens and can't wait to start league. Thus we decided to bring it forward!
Also, a shorter league doesn't mean we compromise on the standard of the games!!!! We aim to bring quality league games to all and to avoid disappointments, we have decided to run 2 leagues (*gasp*) instead of 1! Yes that means we will be involved in a little more logistics than a normal league but we feel that it will stand to benefit the players. League is separated into 2 pools so that the newer players who wish to come down and have fun in picking up Ultimate will not be so stressed playing with the 'old birds'. We are planning league in a way which will benefit them where they get to learn at their own pace and play within their levels. Stress free and therefore upping the happy level! :) Of cos, hopefully they will addicted to it just like how we do and continue to spread the passion and joy we all got from Ultimate.
Those who are in the Socerer's League, you will need to work your magic every Sunday cos you will be playing double headers!!!! We felt that to make you pack your gear, rush down after lunch and warm up so intensively just for ONE game is not fair. SO, you shall have 2 games each week! All thanks to the big Anchorvale field! Woohooooo.....intense...so start brewing your magic potion and work on your magic spells!
